Oh, the fun we've had...
I'm also planning on doing a 15,000 mile update, ala Fast Fleet, with more information on everyday use and what it's like to own; anything you'd like me to address in this future post?

V8? Also, how did you decide on the Hyundai?

They don't make a V8. I have the 3.8 V6, which is now the only engine they sell. 350-ish HP, 295 ft-lbs.
Wanted a BRZ badly, but not enough power to have any fun as there are no driving roads within an hour of where I live. Didn't like the V6 Mustang I drove, too lazy. Then I drove a manual 3.8 Genesis and it was perfect.

I don't really like the waiting with turbos.

Did the designer sneeze between the B and C pillars?

How do you like the interior? I've always thought it looked nice, but is it?

Yes, in front of the CEO when he was showing off. Not wanting to say he made a mistake, he called it a "design feature"

Yes, much better than the Mustang I drove. More driver-focused. Some cheap plastics are still used and some squeaks and rattles can be heard that remind you of Hyundais of old, but overall a really nice place to be. I'd compare it to cheaper German Luxury than anything else. A3s, 3-Series, etc.

It looks SO MUCH better than the Toyobaru's. That's nice to hear.

Here are some interior shots. This is the R-Spec model that I have, so not as kitted-out as the Ultimate.
XM radio, iPod connector, cruise control, random oil, mpg, and torque gauges you'll never look at.

Your seats look almost, if not as heavily bolstered as the Recaros in my FoST. Isn't being hugged nice?

Yes, and they've never felt uncomfortable either, and I commute anywhere between 2-4 hours a day.

The timing belt breaking at 30k miles, welds breaking, or the transmission taking a shit are things that would remind me of The Hyundias of old.

Do you like the facelift front end? And how is the interior quality, especially considering material choice?

I didn't like the facelift when I first saw it, but now I like it better than the original.
I have the R-Spec model, and the quality of materials is adequate. I would have loved alcantera, but I didn't buy a BRZ, so...
I am very pleased with the half-cloth/half-leather seats. I would choose them over full leather any day of the week.
The interior doesn't feel cheep, but it doesn't feel expensive either; I like this in between.
